No Longer Enemy Combatants – the American military’s term for Guantánamo Bay detainees who, after a review, do not to qualify as enemy combatants.

The Washington Post published a list all of current and former Gitmo detainees who have earned N.L.E.C. status. The term itself is not new, but has again become current as President-Elect Obama ponders how to manage Guantánamo and its inmates when he comes to power.
